March summary: podcast anniversary

Piątki po Deployu’s first Birthday

When over a year ago Miłosz Kusiciel and Mateusz Anioła, our heads of Engineering Department, started to think about their own podcast, we thought: “Hmmm, quite a nice idea, we CAN try”. After a year of their career as podcast makes and 30 episodes of “Piątki po Deployu,” we must say that boys had an awesome idea. Their jokes, friendly arguments, and talks about devs life - now I can’t imagine every second Friday without a new episode.

Now it’s time to start a new chapter! Podcasts published twice a month on Merixstudio’s channel was not enough for M&M, they needed more space and more time on-air time to share their inspirations and knowledge. And jokes, of course :D

So it’s done, and “Piątki” has its own YouTube channel on which you can watch all the episodes and see a new format: vlog “Piątki przed deployem” with news for programmers or code analysis. Miłosz and Mateusz in the first episode started from evaluating their own, really old code. Enjoy watching, it’s a kinda good piece of a laugh.

We know our stuff and love to share our knowledge

As you probably know, our team is not only a crew of good specialists but also loves to share their knowledge and lessons learned with the whole community of programmers, PMs, or UX/UI designers. 

In these hard pandemic times we don’t have occasion to many face2face meetings on conferences, hackathons, or meetups, but also don’t stop trying to find new ways to be on time with news and cases.

On 18th March Agnieszka Gliszczyńska, our UX Designer, together with Kasia Konczak from GSK, talked about the quality of customer experience and how to work with key factors and tools of Service Design. The place where Agnieszka and Kasia had a chance to share their knowledge, couldn’t be better: Experience for Life Sciences 2021 conference!

The next big thing on our March roadmap was Flutter Engage Extended Poland, which happened just three days earlier, on March 15th. Merixstudio was co-organizer of this event with Droids on Roids and GDG Wrocław and we are extremely happy to announce, that you can watch the whole video transmission on our YouTube!

State of Early-Stage Startups 2021

In March our team consisted of Business Development, Business Growth (with Content and Growth teams), and - last but not least - UX crew,  launched a huge project, on which they worked for past months: State of Early-Stage Startups 2021 report!

To uncover key factors of early-stage startup success, they surveyed almost 250 early-stage entrepreneurs and startup experts about their experiences with and opinions on fundraising, prototyping, validating business ideas, and translating them into an effective pitch deck.

The report couldn’t be as full and professional without our awesome partners, experts on the startup stage. Big thanks for Clutch.co, Brighteye Ventures, Akcelerator Innowacji Przemysłowych IndustryLab, Sparkmind.vc, StethoMe®, Burrow, Genuine Impact, Rosalyn.ai.

We love to write these posts: you must collect a lot of information from #meetMerix stars’ coworkers and pals, so this is a unique occasion to find out that e. g. Oh yes, March was another good month. Third good month in 2021 :D
