February 2021: full of love

Even when we work remotely for a year, our team spirit is still strong, and the bond we build during everyday work and after it helps us manage not-so-easy situations during these "dark pandemic times." In this post, I'll tell you about our new benefit, annual charity event for animals, Fat Thursday in Pandemic way, and about our knowledge-sharing and, of course, #MeetMerix series :)

We believe that being a team is not only a buzzword but an essential pillar of our job. That's why we care about each other and about those who can't ask for help. Every year on Valentine's Day, our team takes part in charity actions for animals. This year we all chosen Polskie Stowarzyszenie Ochrony Jeży "Nasze Jeże" and raised 3 500 PLN for our spiky friends. As a small "thank you" to all donators, we produced unique stickers, which you can see on Instagram post :)

Even if it's harder to help now, we all know that a helping hand (or helping money transfer) is the best we can give to those who need it. And it's hard to choose the best foundation; therefore, we conducted a vote, and "Nasze Jeże" was our common choice. Now we are working on another charity event. This time it'll be something special for kids; stay tuned in July!

Worksmile: our new benefits and wellbeing platform

We know that our job is important, and we're happy to do our best to proceed with all the projects in Merixstudio. We also know that small add-ones to this job can make the most challenging day brighter and our everyday routine - less boring. Yes, yes, I'm talking about our benefits :) As you may know, in Merixstudio every team member can count on several perks: a Multisport card, free medical care, English lessons, a comfortable office with chill rooms, and a massage chair <3. 

It's quite a good set, but we always want to do more for our employees; that's why in February we launched the newest one: Worksmile. It's a benefits managing platform with a cafeteria system and wellbeing mode, where we can set up challenges with our hobbies or favorite sports. It's a new feature, but we love it! 

Fat Thursday in Pandemic way

A long, long time ago, when we all could meet in the office and sit close to each other, we celebrated Fat Thursday in the most obvious but most yummy way: eating donuts!!!! This year we must figure out something new to involve ourselves in remote celebration. We organized a photo competition entitled "Pandemic Fat Thursday 2021 in the style of 2021" and our teammates were truly creative.

Kasia & Kuba on HR Meetup Poznań

As you may know, we love to help, eat, love our job, and love to share our knowledge. Every member of the Merix crew can take part in internal and external events as a speaker.
